Feathers for dresses in CLO3D | Marvelous Designer
Creating fur details on a dress in CLO is relatively simple as CLO has a fur render built in, all you have to do is just tweak the settings of the fur until you get your desired results.
In the dress featured there are two different fur fabrics that have been created, one for the top part of the dress and the other for the bottom of the dress.
Adding the fur to the pattern
There are a couple of different ways that you can add the fur effect to the dress.
- Add internal lines or use pattern outlines and then add a Piping to the lines, then in the Properties editor select the Fur Fabric as the Fabric to use for the piping. Note the width of the piping will effect the amount of fur created, so experiment with different settings until you get what you are after. This is the method that was used in the images on this post.
- Assign the fur fabric to a pattern piece, note the size of the pattern piece will effect the amount of fur as well. You can create narrow lengths of fabric and then sew this onto the main part of the dress where you want the fur.
