Substance Designer 2 Layer Customisable Cut-out Fabric Free Download
I’ve created a fabric in Adobe Substance Designer which is a 2 layer fabric with a customisable cut-out which can be used in CLO3D/Marvelous Designer.
Main Settings
Cut-out select
This allows you to chose the type of cut-out that will be used on the fabric.
Tile Amount
This allows you to select the tiling of the cut-out the smaller the number the larger the cut-out will be in relation to the fabric.
Fabric PBR
The fabric PBR settings for roughness and metallic can also be configured for the top layer fabric.
- Roughness In – Decreasing this value will make the fabric rougher (matt)
- Roughness Out – Decreasing this value will make the fabric less rough (shiny)
- Metallic – Decreasing this will make it more metallic
Pattern
Shape Cut-out (cut-out selection 1)
You have a choice of 3 different shape cut-outs under this option.
- Circle – option 1
- Square – option 2
- Diamond – option 3
Text Cut-out (cut-out selection 2)
You have the option to enter some custom text for the cut-out (defaults to BF), note the longer the text the small the font size has to be made to allow it all to fit.
Image Cut-out (cut-out selection 3)
The image cut-out should be a black and white image with the white part of the image being the cut-out of the fabric.
